Yes, we made it home and yes, we barely made it. At least the RV barely made it. We’ll get to that.
So one year ago (this week) we left on our first major adventure. This week we are done with major adventures and need to start the next adventure here.
So the last week on the road was….more stressful than I hoped. I was taking it very easy so that I wouldn’t be stressed out too much by driving too long or getting there too quickly. We we’re already coming in a week early so I didn’t anticipate the hateful backlash of not driving to Denver in one day. I apparently was very selfish to come home a week early and try not to stress myself out. After being berated I was plenty stressed out so that didn’t work. Oh well.
The girls were nervous that the RV would break down, because every other time we’ve come home it has. Well….we BARELY made it home. Caleb joked that when we got home it would just completely fall apart in our driveway.
So on our last two days of driving the RV started jumping around and then dying when it went uphill (not completely but like to 20 mph on 75mph Highway). We played some board games, had a fire and tried to enjoy those last moments of the trip. It’s hard when you are banking everything on these sweet moments and others don’t feel the same. That’s what it is to be a parent, I guess.
Also the jeep key won’t turn in the ignition so when we arrived home and unhooked, Caleb accidentally removed the key and the jeep was stuck in the middle of the street for 20 minutes while I tried to back in the rv around the jeep without hitting the house…again. Luckily some friends were there to help and with the help of everyone I only barely hit the jeep and didn’t hit the house at all! Then we laid hands on the jeep and it worked.
So here I am. Lots of emotions, but they need to be sorted out before I write more. So I will, but not today. Thanks for the prayers!
Blessings

Harmony’s Corner
We had a campfire and it was superrrrrrrrrrrrr fun we had s’mores, chips, hot dogs, and fruit salad. That was the campground we went to in Lamar. The RV park had NO ONE there pretty much. So it was good WiFi.
It’s AMAZING being home. But for some reason I just feel like Arvada isn’t the right home for us. Considering how much I love Colorado. About the friends we’d just visit our friends a little bit every year. I’ve been talking to my friend quite lately and we haven’t been doing that much talking. Even before we went on our trip we talked like one or two times a week. Now we’re talking like every day. (Well at least so far.)
Amazing Things:
-I’m seeing my best friends
-We’re home
-I’m calling my friend more often
-I made a playlist for our next trip
-I get to sleep on my own bed again
-And lots of other good things I can’t remember
Not Such A Good Thing:
We’re probably not going on another trip for a while
Glad you are home safe.
